Sudhir Chaudhary Tells HC He Has Removed Posts Calling CJP Volunteer ‘Anti-National’
Journalist Sudhir Chaudhary has informed the High Court that he has removed social media posts in which he allegedly described a 27-year-old volunteer of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) as “anti-national.”
The young man had filed a defamation case against Chaudhary, alleging that the journalist falsely accused him of calling for the destruction of Parliament during youth protests held in July.
During the proceedings, Chaudhary’s counsel told the court that the disputed posts had been taken down. The development came as the High Court heard the defamation proceedings initiated by the CJP volunteer.
The case relates to allegations made against the volunteer in connection with the July protests. The petitioner has challenged the statements as defamatory, while Chaudhary’s side has informed the court about the removal of the posts.
The High Court’s proceedings will determine the further course of the defamation matter.
