Virat Kohli’s ‘Last World Cup’ Remark Sparks Buzz Among Cricket Fans
India’s star batter Virat Kohli has once again triggered speculation about his international future after remarks suggesting that the upcoming 2027 ODI World Cup could be his last World Cup.
Kohli, who retired from T20 internationals after India’s 2024 T20 World Cup triumph and later stepped away from Test cricket, currently remains available for ODI cricket.
Recent reports say Kohli has spoken openly about the possibility of playing in the 2027 World Cup. He has maintained that he wants to continue playing as long as he feels he can contribute meaningfully to the Indian team.
The latest comments have therefore generated considerable discussion among Indian cricket fans, with attention now turning to Kohli’s future in the 50-over format and whether the 2027 World Cup will mark his final appearance on the global stage.
