SECUNDERABAD — Stray Rocket Triggers Massive Fire At Firecracker Shop In Seethaphalmandi, Continuous Explosions Spark Panic, Fire Services Avert Bigger Disaster
frame and share
A stray Diwali rocket triggered a massive fire at a firecracker shop in Secunderabad’s Seethaphalmandi area, setting off continuous explosions and panic among residents. Swift action by fire and emergency services successfully brought the dangerous blaze under control, preventing further disaster.
WHY THIS MATTERS:
Telangana Fire Services had already put teams on 24x7 alert for Diwali, with fire tenders stationed near major cracker markets like Parade Grounds, NTR Stadium and Numaish Grounds in Secunderabad — that preparedness helped in quick response here.
Police have appealed to public to burst rockets only in open grounds, away from shops and houses, and not near cracker stalls.
