Hingoli School Row: Principal Removed, Villagers Demand More Teachers

Hingoli, Maharashtra: A Zilla Parishad school principal in Maharashtra’s Hingoli district has been removed from the post following protests by local villagers under the “Fix Our Schools” campaign.

The agitation was led by Abhijeet Dipke, along with villagers, who raised concerns over the functioning of the school and alleged that the principal had reported to school in an intoxicated condition. The allegations triggered protests and demands for action against the school administration.

Following the agitation, the principal was removed from the position. However, the protesters say the issue of school staffing remains unresolved.

Demand for Two More Teachers :

The protesters are now demanding the appointment of two additional teachers at the school. Dipke said the agitation would continue until the staffing shortage is addressed.

The campaign has also drawn attention to broader concerns affecting government and Zilla Parishad schools, including shortages of teachers, inadequate basic facilities and other infrastructure-related issues.

The protesters have called for immediate steps to ensure that students receive proper educational facilities and adequate teaching support.
