‘Why Are You Hostile Towards Muslims?’ Prashant Kishor Questions Brahmin
Darbhanga: Jan Suraaj Party founder and Bankipur MLA Prashant Kishor has questioned the hostility towards Muslims among sections of the Brahmin community, urging its members to reconnect with their traditional values of education, knowledge and social responsibility.
Addressing a gathering of the Brahmin community in Mahinam village in Bihar's Darbhanga district, Kishor recalled how previous generations prioritised their children's education despite financial hardships.
He also highlighted the community's tradition of helping the hungry after ensuring that their own families had been taken care of.
Questioning the hostility towards Muslims, Kishor urged members of the community to reflect on the values and principles followed by their ancestors. He emphasised that education, intellectual development and social responsibility should remain central to the community's outlook rather than religious hostility.
His remarks have drawn attention to the issue of communal relations and the role of education and social values in shaping society.
