NEW DELHI: A massive procession of saints makes its way towards Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan as the INDIA bloc’s mega rally gathers momentum. The march adds another striking sight to a day marked by diverse voices and calls for electoral accountability.

Procession of saints led by Computer Baba along with many Saadhu & Sants joined Chalo Dilli, Ramlila Maidan Rally — visuals shared by Power Corridors Bureau 9 hours ago. Adds to unusual Sunday sight of people walking in groups holding tricolour, majority wearing tricolour scarves, shouting slogans marching towards Minto Road.
Main program: INDIA bloc MPs gathering at Constitution Club at 11 AM, then ‘Chalo Dilli’ march at noon from Minto Road–Connaught Place junction, passing Ajmeri Gate before reaching Ramlila Maidan. Leaders in open buses from Kharge residence.
Rally at Ramlila Maidan permitted (10 AM-5 PM), march itself Delhi Police says no formal application but will facilitate.
Leaders expected: Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Akhilesh Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, Abhishek Banerjee, Hemant Soren, Revanth Reddy, Tejashwi Yadav, Priyanka Gandhi, KC Venugopal + 21 parties.
Security: More than 4,000 personnel, CAPF companies, 200+ CCTV, drones, body-worn cameras, anti-riot vehicles, control room. Venue divided into 14 zones under ACP rank officers. Delhi Police expects 50,000 (venue capacity), organisers project up to 10 lakh.
Other symbolic: Participant arrives bearing urn symbolising repository of ‘paap ka ghada’ of PM Narendra Modi and CEC Gyanesh Kumar. Tricolour canopy erected over main stage.
Context:*Follows symbolic public impeachment Oct 31 — resolution accused CEC of deleting 13.3 crore votes, centralising rolls, excluding ECs Sukhbir Singh Sandhu & Vivek Joshi from decisions. ECI rebutted: all major decisions including Bihar SIR order June 24, 2025 unanimous, upheld by Supreme Court May 27, 2026. Opposition demands return to paper ballots, alleges SIR exercise targets poor, migrant voters. Rahul Gandhi last-minute call also urged people to shop from local traders ahead of Diwali, Chhath, Bhai Dooj, claimed BJP forcing traders to close shops to show rally hurting business.
