NEW DELHI, Saturday, July 25, 2026: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned* following weeks of protests by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar.The CJP agitation, which began in June over NEET paper leaks, CBSE irregularities and student suicides, intensified after activist Sonam Wangchuk’s 26-day hunger strike.

CJP Founder Reacts:

Reacting to the resignation, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke said:  Don’t make me a hero."He thanked the protesters for their discipline and asked them to instead chant for India* and stay peaceful. Dipke, who continued leading the protest despite being diagnosed with typhoid, called the resignation a victory for students, not for any individual.
