Netanyahu Shares AI Image Of Nuke Hitting Tel Aviv, Warns Of ‘Second Holocaust’ If Not Re-Elected

JERUSALEM:Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has shared a warning about Iran’s nuclear ambitions, with author Yuval Bloomberg calling the threat existential for Israel ahead of elections, just two days before Israelis head to the polls on October 27.

On Sunday, Netanyahu posted on X an AI-generated image depicting a large mushroom cloud and nuclear explosion over Tel Aviv, accompanied by a text by right-wing writer and political commentator Yuval Bloomberg, best known for his book The Oslo Trap.

The Warning:

“The State of Israel faces a real and tangible existential threat,” Bloomberg wrote in the post shared by Netanyahu. “If the Iranians obtain nuclear weapons, nothing else will matter anymore. Everything pales into insignificance in the face of the existential threat posed by Iran and the Shiite axis.”

Netanyahu captioned it: “Read the important words of Yuval Bloomberg.”

Bloomberg argued that controversies surrounding the government, including the Qatargate affair, ultra-Orthodox draft evasion, and the case of Netanyahu aide Jonatan Urich, are “one giant smokescreen designed to conceal the one issue that towers above all others.”

“If two atomic bombs were to fall on central Israel, who would care about all these meaningless controversies?” the post asked.

‘Window of Opportunity’:

The post argued that Israel has a limited window of opportunity to confront Iran while US President Donald Trump remains in office. “We have another two years of Trump to finish the job in Iran, and there is no way of knowing what will come after that,” Bloomberg wrote, warning that Kamala Harris or “some Mamdani equivalent” could succeed Trump.

It warned voters risk exposing their families to “the danger of a second Holocaust” if they elect a leader incapable of completing the mission against Iran.

Political Backlash:

The post drew sharp criticism from opposition leaders. Democrats party chairman Yair Golan accused Netanyahu of spreading panic and hysteria ahead of the election. Former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot called him “hysterical”.

Critics noted the shift from June 2025, when at the end of the 12-day war against Iran, Operation Rising Lion, Netanyahu had proclaimed a “historic victory” and said “We removed two existential threats: The threat of annihilation by nuclear weapons and the threat of annihilation by 20,000 ballistic missiles,” adding that Israel’s actions had “sent Iran’s nuclear program down the drain.”

Netanyahu has been accused by critics of pushing for a renewal of war against Iran to influence or delay the October 27 vote  a charge he has denied. IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir reportedly said during a recent private meeting that he did not see an operational need to strike Iran before the election.
