Fake Certificate Row Hits MBBS Admissions: 4 Students Booked in Uttarakhand
MBBS Admission Fraud: 4 Female Students Booked Over Suspected Fake Freedom Fighter Certificates
Uttarakhand authorities have cancelled the MBBS admissions of four female students after certificates claiming their eligibility as dependants of freedom fighters were found to be suspicious.
The case has led to an FIR against five people, including the four students. The certificates were allegedly used to obtain admission under the quota meant for dependants of freedom fighters.
Officials began investigating the matter after questions were raised over the authenticity of the documents submitted during the admission process. Following verification, the authorities found discrepancies in the certificates and subsequently cancelled the four MBBS admissions.
The case highlights concerns over the misuse of reservation and special-quota certificates in medical admissions. The police investigation will determine how the allegedly fraudulent certificates were prepared, submitted and used.
