IMD Weather Alert: Heavy Rain, Thunderstorms Likely Across Several States Till September 15
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of continued monsoon activity across several parts of India, with heavy to very heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds expected in different regions over the coming days.
According to the latest IMD update, a low-pressure area is likely to develop over the north Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas, contributing to enhanced rainfall activity. Odisha is expected to receive isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall from September 9 to 11.
Several states across northern, eastern and central India may also experience thunderstorms and heavy showers. Weather authorities have urged residents to remain alert, particularly in areas vulnerable to waterlogging, flooding, lightning and strong winds.
