The felicitation and felicitation ceremony organized by the All-Party Muslim Alliance and the Drug Detoxification Campaign to honor the remarkable work of the Damini Squad, which is working round the clock for the safety of women, was held with enthusiasm. The program was organized at Betul Yatin, behind Vande Mataram Hall, near the District Collector's residence.

Veena Patni presided over the program, while founder president Sajid Maulana honored the police officers and women employees of the Damini squad with bouquets and shawls. Meraj Isaac Patel, Disha Akash Suravase Patil, PSI Kanchan Miradhe, Lata Gulab Jadhav, Nirmala Nimbhore, Kalpana Kharat, Sangeeta Paralkar, Anita Khaire, Pooja Jadhav etc. were present on the stage.

The work of the Damini team is commendable.

The Damini squad patrols the city 24 hours a day and ensures the safety of women. The squad is constantly working to control crimes such as harassment and atrocities against women, take immediate action on complaints, and provide a safe environment for women in schools, colleges, and public places. It was mentioned on this occasion that their work is creating a sense of security among women in the society.

Responding to the felicitation, PSI Kanchan Miradhe said, “The Damini Squad is working under the guidance of Police Commissioner Praveen Pawar and we are committed to the protection of women. We are constantly working for the safety of women in schools, colleges and public places. This work can be carried out more effectively only with the cooperation of the society.”

Sajid Maulana said in his speech, “The Damini Squad is playing a very important role for the safety of women. Due to their brave and dedicated work, many women have got justice and trust has been created in the society. It is our social responsibility to honor such brave Damini Squad. We will continue to support such initiatives in the future as well.”

On this occasion, founder president Sajid Maulana, Radhakishan Pandit, Ashok Pagare, Dr. Sheikh Shakeel, Abdul Qayyum (journalist), Rahul Shirsat, Kishore Maske, Bhimsen Kamble, Yusuf Khan, Ashraf Pathan, Syed Karim, Shakeel Ahmed Sheikh, retired police sub-inspector Farooq Khan, Khizer Siddiqui and other dignitaries were present.

The program was moderated by Sheikh Mukhtar, while the vote of thanks was given by Abdul Qayyum (journalist).
