New Delhi :Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday addressed the ongoing protests by the Cockroach Janta Party in the national capital, calling the situation a "matter of serious concern".Speaking on the demonstrations, Singh said: *"The ongoing protests in Delhi are a matter of serious concern. And it is extremely unfortunate that some people are trying to use the students and youth of our country as a political tool to serve their political interests."

Govt's Stand on Students and Youth:

Targeting the opposition, the Defence Minister asserted that the government stands firmly with students."Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our government is fully committed to fulfilling the aspirations of students and youth and to their welfare," Singh said.The statement comes amid heightened protests in Delhi over the NEET paper leak controversy and alleged police action against student demonstrators. Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi were detained on Tuesday after staging a sit-in near the Prime Minister's residence demanding accountability.

The Centre has maintained that it is ready for a discussion on NEET in Parliament and is committed to education reforms.
