“You Came In The Name Of Youth, Now You Are With The Tukde-Tukde Gang”: Union Minister Giriraj Singh Slams CJP Founder Abhijit Deepke, Tells Him “Don’t Mistake Yourself For Bhagat Singh”
PATNA / NEW DELHI:Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Thursday launched a sharp attack on Abhijit Deepke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), accusing him of betraying the youth and joining anti-national elements.
What Giriraj Singh Said:
“You came in the name of youth, now you are with the tukde-tukde gang.”
Deepke should not harbour the misunderstanding that he has become Bhagat Singh.
He started as a representative of the youth, but his role has now changed.
Linked Deepke to Aam Aadmi Party, Rahul Gandhi and the ‘tukde-tukde gang’.
Said strict action should be taken against those spreading anarchy and unrest in the country.
Who Is Abhijit Deepke / CJP?
CJP began May 16, 2026 as a satirical online movement led by Deepke, after a controversy over remarks on unemployed youth during a judicial hearing. It later evolved into a youth led protest on unemployment, exam irregularities and electoral roll concerns.
Now leading campaign against the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, alleging systematic deletion of voter names.
Demands: Resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, halt to SIR, restoration of Jan 2025 voter rolls, repeal of 2023 law on CEC appointment.
Recently held ‘Janata Nyayalaya’ / People’s Tribunal in Bengaluru Oct 8, with support from activists, students and opposition-linked voices. Deepke accused PM Modi of “murdering democracy and vote theft.”
Why Tension Now In Delhi:
CJP called for a ‘Lahra Do Tiranga’ (Wave the Tricolour) march Oct 16, 5 PM at Central Park, Connaught Place, after two CJP leaders Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were arrested.
Delhi Police has not allowed the march.NDMC closed Central Park Oct 16-17, imposed restrictions in the area.
Delhi High Court refused to ban the proposed march but left law-and-order measures to police.
Deepke alleged surveillance: unmarked cars following him, intelligence personnel outside his house, possibility of detention. He said at a press conference: “If waving the national flag is a crime, I am ready to go to jail.”
Separately, an FIR was registered Oct 13 at Sansad Marg Police Station on complaint of ACP Vivek Bhagat over alleged casteist remarks during Oct 3 Jantar Mantar protest against ECI. FIR names Abhijit Deepke, Ashutosh Ranka, Sourav Das, Ratna Singh and others. Provisions of SC/ST Act and BNS (obstruction, defamation) invoked. Investigation is on; naming in FIR does not establish guilt.
Political Fallout:
Giriraj Singh’s statement escalates the BJP vs CJP confrontation, with BJP leaders calling CJP’s protest politically motivated and backed by opposition, while CJP insists it is a non-partisan youth movement for voting rights.
