Iran Prepared For All-Out War, Will Respond Without Restraint To Any New Attacks, Senior Security Official Says

TEHRAN:Iran is prepared for an all-out war and will respond without restraint to any new attacks or assassinations, an unnamed senior Iranian security official said Wednesday.

Speaking to state-run Press TV, the official said Tehran had decided to target US and Israeli interests and those of their regional supporters with full force in the event of renewed attacks.

 The official described Iran's preparations as covering a comprehensive and multilayered conflict, signaling readiness across military, missile, and proxy capabilities.

The unnamed official also said Washington and Israel were unlikely to attack Iran independently of each other and argued that their threats provided Tehran with legal and moral justification for taking defensive measures.

The warning comes amid heightened tensions following the US-Israeli war on Iran earlier this year, with recent diplomatic activity including visits by Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to Tehran and talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US envoy Steve Witkoff on resolving the crisis.

There was no immediate response from Washington or Jerusalem to the Press TV remarks.
