Pretend I'm On The Ballot' Trump's Final Message As America Votes Today In Most Important Midterm Of Lifetime
US President Donald Trump has delivered a final message to voters as Americans head to the polls for the 2026 midterm elections, urging them to ensure the country continues on what he described as a path of renewed global standing.
Final 24 Hours:
Nov 2 Evening Lincoln Pool:Nationally televised 50-minute address in front of Reflecting Pool (which he ordered renovated via no-bid contract). Mostly talked about pool repair, White House East Wing demolition for ballroom. Brushed off cost-of-living concerns, asked voters to accept higher prices caused by Iran war as temporary consequence of stopping Tehran nuclear weapon.
Nov 2 Night Hannity: “I’m just asking everybody to pretend that I’m on the ballot” — warned Republican setback could put tax cuts on tips, overtime, Social Security at risk, legislative priorities wiped out.
Nov 3 Morning Fox & Friends:Called US “greatest country anywhere in the world”, a “beacon” for world. Predicted GOP retains House & Senate, said 30-day blitz had impact.
He renewed attacks on Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed (Michigan) over ballot qualification at radical mosques.
All 435 House seats and 35 of 100 Senate seats contested, plus 36 governors including Ohio where Vivek Ramaswamy vs Amy Acton. First polls close 6pm Eastern, last Alaska 1am Wed.
Stakes: Dems need net +3 House (due to vacancies) and +4 Senate to flip. If GOP loses House, Democrats gain power to stall legislative agenda, launch sweeping investigations. Senate loss threatens Supreme Court, senior appointments. White House note: “From secure border and historic drops in crime, to largest tax cuts in American history, second term has achieved more than any administration. Golden Age continues.”
Senate Dem leader Chuck Schumer called closing message “pathetic.” Trump’s approval at historic low near 30s-40s, but urges landslide if base turns out.
