NEW DELHI, July 25, 2026:The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Saturday announced that it is ending its weeks-long protest at Jantar Mantar after the Central government agreed to all of its demands.
The decision came after a meeting between CJP leaders and Union Ministers JP Nadda and Dr. Jitendra Singh.
CJP's Announcement:
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka said the government had accepted the party’s demands in full.
"We are calling off the protest. I appeal to all protesters to return home peacefully,"Ranka said.
He thanked the protesters for their discipline and said the movement had achieved its goal of bringing education reforms and accountability to the center of national debate.

The CJP protest began in June at Jantar Mantar over:
NEET paper leaks and exam irregularities
Accountability in the Education Ministry
Compensation for families of students who died by suicide
Systemic reforms in CBSE and entrance exams
The agitation gained momentum after activist Sonam Wangchuk’s 26-day hunger strike and was led on ground by CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke.
What’s Next:
CJP said it will now monitor the implementation of the government’s assurances. The party has demanded that the agreed reforms be taken up in Parliament in the upcoming session.With the protest called off, normal activity at Jantar Mantar is expected to resume.
