Delhi On Edge: CJP Protesters Clash With Police, Threaten to Raze Parliament Over NEET Paper Leak".

New Delhi The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest over alleged NEET-UG 2026 irregularities turned violent on Monday as thousands of protesters attempted a 'Sansad Chalo' march towards Parliament, leading to clashes with security forces.

"Will Burn Parliament Like Nepal".

During the protest at Jantar Mantar, some CJP protesters were seen on camera threatening to vandalise and burn down the Indian Parliament, drawing parallels to the recent protests in Nepal."Sansad Bhawan will be razed...will make this like Nepal," a protester said while addressing the camera. 

The video of the threat went viral on social media. 

Clashes With Police:

Delhi Police had not permitted the march and had imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of BNSS across New Delhi district. 

Despite this, protesters tried to push through multiple barricades near Parliament Street, Shastri Bhawan, and Rail Bhawan around 11:25 am. 

Security personnel responded with lathi charge and tear gas shells to disperse the crowd. Some protesters also allegedly pelted stones and damaged police vehicles. 

Police said over 50 police personnel and protesters were injured, around 100 people were detained, and 20+ police vehicles were damaged. Delhi Police has registered 4 FIRs for unlawful assembly, violence, and damage to public property. 

Other Developments:

CJP Founder Ends Hunger Strike: CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke called off his hunger strike after the father of a NEET aspirant who died by suicide urged him to lead the march.

Govt Outreach: BJP President J.P. Nadda met CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka and assured them he would discuss their demands at the appropriate level. The CJP memorandum sought Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation over NEET paper leak and other exam issues.

Media Attack: ABP News team was allegedly manhandled and assaulted by protesters while covering the demonstration at Jantar Mantar. 

CJP's Demands:

The protest was called to demand accountability for the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, CBSE portal disruption, delays in CUET, and compensation for families of aspirants who died by suicide. Security has been intensified across central Delhi with multi-layered barricades and additional deployment ahead of the Monsoon Session.
