Independence Day Gift: Modi Declares Free Coaching For JEE, NEET, UPSC & Other Govt Exams

NEW DELHI: On the eve of Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced free online classes for competitive exams to help students across the country prepare for government and entrance tests.

Key Announcements:

Who it’s for: Students preparing for JEE, NEET, UPSC, SSC, Banking, Railways, Defense, and other state-level competitive exams.

What’s free: Live online classes, recorded lectures, mock tests, study material, and doubt-clearing sessions all available at no cost.

Platform: The classes will be delivered through government education portals and DD/YouTube channels to ensure reach in rural and urban areas.

Goal: To provide equal opportunity to students who cannot afford expensive coaching and to support “Digital India” and “Skill India” missions.

PM Modi said this initiative is part of the government’s commitment to empower youth and make quality education accessible to every household as India celebrates Independence Day.

Why This Matters:

Coaching for competitive exams often costs ₹50,000 to ₹2,00,000 per year. By making it free online, students from remote areas and low-income families will get direct access to top educators and test prep resources.

The government is expected to release the official portal link and schedule on 15th August during Independence Day celebrations.
