Amman, June 15, 2026: Jordan has formally accused Israel of violating international law and is urging the United Nations to take action, citing mounting humanitarian concerns in the region.

 Formal Accusation at International Level.

In an official statement, Jordan alleged that Israel’s actions constitute breaches of international law and called on the UN Security Council and relevant bodies to intervene. Jordanian officials emphasized that the humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate, requiring an immediate and coordinated global response.

 Rising Global Pressure.

The appeal comes as international pressure intensifies over the crisis in West Asia. Diplomats and rights groups have warned of worsening conditions for civilians, prompting renewed debate on whether broader international intervention is now unavoidable.

“With humanitarian concerns continuing to grow, the international community cannot remain a bystander,” a Jordanian foreign ministry spokesperson said.

Calls for UN Response

Jordan urged the UN to uphold its mandate to maintain international peace and security, stressing that accountability under international law is essential. The Kingdom has been a vocal advocate for de-escalation and protection of civilians.

As of Monday, Israel had not issued an official response to Jordan’s latest statement. UN officials said the matter is under review.
