Flydubai Pilot Smit Machchhar Shows Positive Signs Of Recovery After Skull Fracture In Mid-Air Assault

Dubai:Flydubai pilot Captain Smit Machchhar suffered a depressed skull fracture after he was allegedly attacked by his co-pilot inside the cockpit of Flight FZ1073, sources have said.
According to reports, doctors in Saudi Arabia reconstructed his skull during an emergency surgery before he was flown to the UAE for further treatment.
Machchhar also sustained injuries to his limbs, chest and upper abdomen, but is now showing positive signs of recovery.
The shocking mid-air incident on board the Flydubai flight has raised serious concerns over cockpit safety. Further investigation into the attack is underway.
