Maharashtra Weather: IMD Issues Yellow Alert for Rain in 11 Districts
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for rain in parts of Maharashtra on Friday, September 11, with several districts expected to receive thunderstorms and moderate to heavy showers.
The latest forecast indicates that monsoon activity is likely to increase across the state after a relatively subdued spell. Nanded, Hingoli, Yavatmal, Wardha, Nagpur, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli are among the districts specifically placed under a yellow alert in the latest regional forecast. Other parts of Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada may also receive light to moderate rainfall.
Weather conditions are expected to become more active over the weekend, with rainfall likely to spread across Konkan, Vidarbha, Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra. The renewed showers could bring some relief to areas that have experienced a prolonged break in rainfall, particularly farmers waiting for moisture for Kharif crops.
