Mumbai, April 2026: The India Meteorological Department has forecast unseasonal rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds across large parts of Maharashtra . The IMD’s Regional Meteorological Centre in Mumbai said the activity is due to a cyclonic circulation over the Arabian Sea and a trough from Madhya Pradesh to north Konkan.
UThe department has issued a yellow alert for several districts and advised farmers, fishermen, and citizens to take precautions. The spell is expected to bring relief from the heat in some areas but may damage standing crops and mangoes in Konka
