Salman Khan Apologises to Fans Over Misleading Bigg Boss 20 Promo
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has reassured fans that there is nothing wrong with his health after a Bigg Boss 20 “Weekend Ka Vaar” promo showing him clutching his chest, asking for water and lying on the floor went viral on social media.
Salman later clarified that he is perfectly fine and apologised to fans for the concern caused by the promo. He said the sequence was deliberately performed as part of his confrontation with contestant Qazi Touqeer, whose alleged fake health scare inside the Bigg Boss house was being discussed.
“Nothing is wrong with my health by the grace of God. The Bigg Boss promo should not have been cut the way it was cut,” Salman said.
The actor explained that the chest-pain sequence was intended to demonstrate to Qazi why using a health-related situation for entertainment was inappropriate. According to Salman, the way the promo was edited made it appear as though he himself was doing the same thing.
“It totally beats the purpose and looks like I am doing the same thing that Kazi was doing in the house,” Salman said, explaining that his pain was staged to show Qazi that his actions were wrong, particularly because the other 15 housemates were unaware that he was acting.
An extended promo subsequently showed Salman directly confronting Qazi, telling him: “Aap bhi aisa kuch karte hain, show mein.” Housemates including Amrapali Dubey, Love Gill and Mahhi Vij were seen appearing relieved after the situation was clarified.
The incident comes after Salman had also spoken out against online trolling involving himself, Katrina Kaif and Varun Dhawan, while criticising what he described as toxic paparazzi culture.
