‘Xi Jinping Faced Two Heart Attacks’: Lobsang Sangay Makes Unverified Health Claim
Former Tibetan PM Lobsang Sangay Claims Xi Jinping Suffered Two Heart Attacks
New Delhi: Former Tibetan Prime Minister Lobsang Sangay has made startling claims about Chinese President Xi Jinping’s health and political future, alleging that the Chinese leader has suffered two heart attacks and is under immense physical and mental pressure.
Sangay reportedly linked the alleged health concerns to the ongoing purges of senior military and defence officials in China. He also raised questions about Beijing’s political succession, describing the situation as an “Emperor’s dilemma.”
According to Sangay, the information about Xi’s alleged health problems came from a former senior Chinese official. However, the claims have not been independently verified, and there has been no confirmed public evidence establishing that Xi Jinping has suffered two heart attacks.
Sangay’s remarks have nevertheless drawn attention to questions surrounding Xi’s health, China’s leadership structure and the country’s eventual succession plans.
The allegations come amid continued scrutiny of changes within China’s military and political establishment. Any potential leadership transition in Beijing could have significant implications for China’s domestic politics as well as its foreign policy.
For now, the claims about Xi Jinping’s alleged heart attacks and his physical and mental condition should be treated as unverified allegations rather than established facts.
