Rahul Gandhi Slams Bihar Government Over Student Protests

Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has launched a sharp attack on the BJP-led Bihar government over ongoing student protests linked to alleged irregularities in the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination process.

Gandhi accused the government of using the police to suppress students instead of addressing their concerns. He alleged that the administration was “turning the police into a weapon to evade accountability.” 

The protests in Patna intensified after students marched towards Raj Bhavan and the Chief Minister’s residence, demanding action over issues including examination transparency, recruitment procedures and alleged irregularities. Police used water cannons and detained several protesters. 

Gandhi said students would continue to raise questions and demanded accountability from the government. His remarks have further escalated the political confrontation between the Congress and the Bihar government over the handling of student protests.
