Reacting to the contrasting descriptions, Khanna accused the administration of lacking a coherent strategy. In a post on X, he wrote that Vance’s comments contrasted sharply with Trump’s claim of victory and called the administration “totally incoherent.”
Khanna’s criticism comes amid continuing debate in Washington over the US military role, its objectives in Iran and the administration’s broader strategy for bringing the conflict to an end. Recent US strikes on Iranian military targets and continued tensions around the Strait of Hormuz have added to concerns about further escalation.
