Mumbai Police Form 15 Teams, Salman’s Security Beefed Up, Eknath Shinde Visits Shroff Family Assuring Strict Action*

MUMBAI: The alleged firing incident on Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai has raised serious concern in the film industry. In this connection, actor Salman Khan’s name has also come into discussion.

According to a social media update citing sources, it is claimed that Salman Khan may meet some people tonight, and some big leaders are also said to be invited to this meeting.

 However, no official confirmation of this alleged meeting has come so far. It is also not clear who will be included in it and what issues will be discussed. Therefore, this information should currently be treated as an unconfirmed claim.

Why Is Salman’s Name Linked?

 The hostility of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang towards Salman Khan is old, traced back to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case in Rajasthan during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain. The Bishnoi community worships the animal.

In April 2024, gunmen fired outside Salman’s Bandra residence. The gang was later linked to that incident.

 In October 2024, former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique was shot dead, with alleged links to the same syndicate.

After the latest Juhu attack, an audio message allegedly from Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu claimed responsibility and warned that anyone in the film industry working with or alongside Salman Khan will be targeted. The message also demanded Salman publicly apologise to Lawrence Bishnoi and the Bishnoi community.

 Police have not yet independently confirmed the authenticity of these messages or the gang’s involvement. Investigations are on.

What Happened With Tiger Shroff:

 On Oct 18 night in Juhu / Vile Parle, two unidentified gunmen allegedly fired 5-7 rounds at Tiger Shroff’s BMW near Pushpa Narsee Park after he left a football stadium.

Tiger was safe. His driver and a bystander were injured by gunpowder and glass fragments.

Tiger took the driver’s seat himself and rushed the injured driver to Nanavati Hospital.

Mumbai Police have registered an FIR under BNS Sections 109(1), 3(5) and Arms Act Sections 3 & 25 against three unidentified persons.

Three suspects, including a minor, were detained in Kota, Rajastha nd are being interrogated. Police are checking CCTV, forensic evidence, and the origin of threatening messages.

Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde visited Tiger at his residence. CM Devendra Fadnavis spoke to the family on phone and assured strict action.

Security around Salman Khan’s residence has been beefed up and the Crime Branch has expanded its search to Gujarat, suspecting the attackers fled the state.

Film bodies AICWA and FWICE condemned the firing and demanded stronger security for film industry members.
