Ramdev Makes Bold ‘Akhand Bharat’ Remark, Says Three Nations Will Rejoin India. Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Says Ramdev; ‘Have Patience’
‘Just Have Patience’: Yoga Guru Makes Remark on India’s Future
Raipur: Yoga guru Ramdev on Monday claimed that Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan would one day “reintegrate” with India, urging people to remain patient. His remarks were made while speaking to reporters at Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur.
‘India’s Honour and Dignity Are at Stake’
Ramdev said that neither Hinduism, Islam nor Christianity was under threat in India, but argued that the country’s honour and dignity were at stake.
Reacting to remarks by Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari concerning the condition of Hindus in Pakistan, Ramdev alleged that Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh had suffered severe atrocities and injustices.
“The day will also come when Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan will reintegrate into India. Just have a little patience,” he said.
Ramdev Talks About ‘Developed India’:
Ramdev also said he wanted India to become the world’s leading democracy and a global economic power. He expressed a vision of a stronger Indian rupee, a powerful Indian passport and greater international respect for India.
On religious conversion, he said there was no threat to any major religion in India and called for ensuring that no community faced persecution in the future.
His comments about the three neighbouring countries are likely to draw attention given the complex political and diplomatic relationships between India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
