WHAT HAPPENED IN VENEZUELA:-

When powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela in June 2026*, buildings collapsed across several neighborhoods. Among the victims was Dayana Patiño, who was buried under the rubble of her apartment with her newborn son.

32 HOURS UNDER THE RUBBLE:-

Dayana was trapped for 32 hours in complete darkness. Her leg was broken in the collapse Her 18-day-old son, Juan David, was pinned against her chest For hours, she stayed awake, constantly checking if he was still breathing and fighting to keep fear away

The Rescue:

Rescue teams worked through the debris and managed to slide a straw through a pipe to give water to the newborn. After more than 30 hours, rescuers finally pulled both mother and baby out alive. 

Dayana was injured  but conscious

Baby Juan David survived without a scratch.
