CJP Gains National Attention as Survey Reveals Mixed Public Support
The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has attracted nationwide attention following the student movement at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. Ahead of its planned peaceful protest march in the national capital on September 5, a C-Voter survey explored whether people would support the group if it entered electoral politics.
According to the survey findings, 43% of respondents said they would not vote for CJP, while 33% said they would support the party if it contested elections. The survey also examined whether CJP should continue functioning as a pressure group rather than becoming a political party.
The poll further highlighted key concerns among Gen-Z, including unemployment, education and the rising cost of living, issues that have increasingly featured in youth-led political movements.
