Insurance cheque worth ₹29.60 lakhs handed over by India Post

A cheque for Rs 29,60,152/- was handed over to the heirs of Mumbai resident Rishikesh Ratnakar Kulkarni, who had taken insurance cover under the Postal Life Insurance (PLI) scheme run by the Indian Postal Department.

Hrishikesh Kulkarni, an employee of Maharashtra State Electrical Transport, residing in Mumbai, had taken a Postal Life Insurance (PLI) of Rs. 15,00,000/- about twelve years ago. He unfortunately passed away during a brain surgery a few days ago. His heirs were given a cheque of Rs. 29,60,152/- including the insurance amount and bonus.

This cheque was handed over by the Postmaster of Jalna Head Post Office, Mr. Ganesh Paripelli, DOPLI of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Division, Sandeep Mahajan, and CPC Incharge, Rajiv Gawli.
