Doctors Honoured at GHATI Hospital for Successful Brain Tumour Surgery

Aurangabad, August 28, 2026: The Mutawalli Wing of the All India Ulama Board felicitated doctors from the neurosurgery department of GHATI Hospital for successfully performing a complex brain tumour surgery and providing quality treatment to patients, particularly those from economically weaker sections.

The felicitation programme was held at the OPD contact office of the Super Speciality Neurosurgery Building at GHATI Hospital. National President of the Mutawalli Wing, Sheikh Faisal Mujawar, honoured Neurosurgeon and Head of the Department Dr Sachin Guthe with a shawl, bouquet and a copy of the Constitution in recognition of his service to poor and needy patients.

A 51-year-old patient, Sheikh Mohammad Abdul Qader, a resident of Shahabazar in Aurangabad, also expressed his gratitude to the neurosurgery team for successfully performing his difficult brain surgery. His wife Rubina Sheikh, son Abu Sufiyan and other relatives thanked the doctors and hospital staff for their treatment and support.

Doctors and staff felicitated during the programme included Dr Sachin Guthe, Professor and Head of the Department; Dr Bhavana Takalkar, Associate Professor; Dr Saif Hameed and Dr Vijay Mundhe, Assistant Professors; Dr Kritika Garg, Assistant Professor; Dr Manoj Bhuktar, Senior Resident; Dr Pranav Pise, Junior Resident; Dr Manish Vaidya, House Officer; and Sheikh Afroz, Data Entry Operator under the Ayushman scheme.

Dr Sachin Guthe said that patients from Aurangabad and across Marathwada can now access specialised neurosurgical services at GHATI Hospital. He said the hospital had previously faced a shortage of specialist doctors for brain surgeries, but the facility has now been strengthened.

He also acknowledged the contribution of GHATI Hospital Dean Dr Shivaji Sukre and OSD Dr Sudhir Chaudhary in making the neurosurgery services available. According to Dr Guthe, several types of brain surgeries can now be performed at the hospital, with specialist doctors available around the clock. He appealed to patients to make use of the facility, particularly the affordable treatment available to those in need.

 As a special guest Er M.A .Shakeel Health Activist,Women’s District President of the Ulama Board Mutawalli Wing Farzana Shah, City Women’s Vice-President Saida Apa, Sufi Saints Wing representative Suman Jadhav, along with several office-bearers, were present at the programme.
