Iranian Guards Spokesperson Calls Trump a ‘Big Liar’, Accuses US President of Hiding Truth

Tehran: An Iranian Revolutionary Guards spokesperson on Tuesday sharply criticised US President Donald Trump, calling him a “big liar” and accusing him of concealing the truth from the American public about Iran’s nuclear programme.
The spokesperson also accused Trump of downplaying the effectiveness of Iran’s blockade of energy supplies from the Gulf, amid heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington.
According to the Iranian official, the US administration has sought to portray Iran’s nuclear capabilities and the impact of restrictions on Gulf energy supplies differently from what Tehran claims is happening on the ground.
The remarks come amid an escalating confrontation between Iran and the United States, with the two sides continuing to clash over Iran’s nuclear activities, regional security and the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global energy shipments.
Iran has repeatedly maintained that its nuclear programme is intended for peaceful purposes and has rejected demands that it abandon its civilian nuclear capabilities. Washington, meanwhile, has continued to press Tehran over its nuclear activities and regional military posture.
The latest comments from the Revolutionary Guards spokesperson underline the increasingly hostile rhetoric between Tehran and Washington as efforts to resolve the confrontation through diplomacy remain uncertain.
