Leak in India’ slogans raised; Sonam Wangchuk joins crowd; Delhi Police grants permission after airport talks.
New Delhi – Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke joined hundreds of students and youth at Jantar Mantar on Saturday, June 6, 2026, demanding Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation over the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and CBSE, CUET, SSC exam irregularities.
Arrives from Boston, Heads Straight to Protest.
Dipke landed at IGI Airport Terminal 3 early Saturday morning from Boston. He was met by police officials after immigration. Following discussions, Delhi Police granted CJP permission to protest at Jantar Mantar from 10 am to 5 pm, scrapping the earlier plan to first gather at Parliament Street Police Station.

‘Cannot Erase Us’: Dipke to Crowd.
Addressing protesters, Dipke accused the government of focusing on CJP’s social media instead of student demands. “You may be able to delete our posts, but you cannot erase us from this space,” he said. He added: “I was fully prepared to sacrifice my freedom for this cause”.
The crowd chanted “Dharmendra Pradhan Istifa Do” and “We asked for ‘Make in India’, you gave us ‘Leak in India’”. Many wore cockroach masks and carried flowers.
Sonam Wangchuk Joins, Vows 6-Week Fast if Dipke Arrested.
Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk joined the protest, saying education issues drove his support. He earlier pledged a six-week fast if Dipke is arrested. Slogans of “Sonam Wangchuk should become education minister” were raised. 9e28dce0
8 Lakh Signatures, Heavy Security.
Dipke said 8 lakh students signed a petition demanding Pradhan’s resignation. He cited suicides due to the paper leak and impact on “22 lakhs NEET, 17 lakh CBSE, 16 lakhs CUET and 40 lakh SSC GD students”.
Over 1,000 police personnel were deployed across New Delhi. Security was tightened at IGI Airport, VIP residences including PM Modi and Pradhan’s homes. Brief chaos occurred when counter-protesters shouting “Delhi Police lath chalao” were detained.
