Don't Want E20 Petrol? Pay More For Pure Petrol: Nitin Gadkari Amid Ethanol Mix Row".

New Delhi - Amid the ongoing debate over Ethanol Blended Petrol E20*, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has made another statement addressing public concerns.

Speaking on the controversy, Gadkari said that consumers who do not want ethanol-mixed petrol have the option to buy 100% pure petrol.

However, he added that pure petrol will cost significantly more compared to E20 fuel because its production cost is much higher.

WHAT IS E20 PETROL?

E20 petrol is a blend of 20% ethanol and 80% petrol. The government has been pushing for higher ethanol blending to reduce oil import dependence and promote farmers.

The rollout has sparked debate over mileage, vehicle compatibility, and pricing.

GADKARI'S KEY POINTS

Choice available: Consumers can opt for pure petrol if they don't want E20

Higher price: 100% pure petrol will be costlier than E20

Reason: Pure petrol costs much more to produce

The statement comes as the government faces questions over fuel efficiency and vehicle engine compatibility with E20.
