Geneva Considered as Potential Venue for US-Iran Peace Deal Signing, Report Says.

Western source says memorandum could be signed as early as Sunday by US Vice President Vance, Iran’s Parliament Speaker Qalibaf; Tehran denies timing, venue claims.

Geneva, June 12, 2026:- Geneva has emerged as the likeliest venue for a potential US-Iran peace memorandum signing, according to a Western source, as both sides signal that a deal could be near despite disputes over terms.

Deal May Be Signed Sunday.

If language can be agreed, the memorandum could be signed as soon as Sunday by US Vice President JD Vance and Iran's parliament speaker, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the source said. US President Donald Trump said his deal could be signed in Geneva on Sunday, just ahead of the upcoming G7 summit in France next week.

Iran Denies Timing, Venue Reports.

Iran’s Fars News Agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, denied reports that an agreement would be announced Sunday or signed in Geneva. Fars said Iran’s review is still ongoing and no final decision has been reached, calling reports on timing and venue “completely false”. A spokesperson for Iran’s foreign ministry also said the regime had “not yet reached a final decision”. 998dd530

 Trump Rejects Leaked Terms.

Trump criticized Iranian media for publishing details of a proposed agreement, saying the terms leaked “have NOTHING to do with the terms that were agreed to, in writing”. He called Tehran’s statements inaccurate and said Iran needed to “get their act together, and FAST!”.

Despite jointly launching the war with the United States, Israel has so far been excluded from the negotiations. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his country would not be party to the memorandum. Iran has insisted that its ballistic missile programme and support for regional militia are not on the table.

As of Thursday evening, the deal had been approved on the Iranian side at high levels but likely not by Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, sources said.
