Rahul Gandhi Says PM Modi is Panicked Amid LPG Shortage
Rahul Gandhi targets PM Modi over the nationwide LPG shortage, suggesting the Prime Minister's calls for calm mask his own deep-seated political anxieties.
Rahul Gandhi Targets PM Modi Outside Parliament
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday launched a sharp verbal attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the reported nationwide shortage of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). Speaking to reporters outside the Parliament, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha suggested that the Prime Minister's public stance of composure is a facade.
Gandhi stated that while the Prime Minister is urging the public "not to panic," he himself appears to be deeply unsettled. "The PM says there is no need to panic, but he is himself panicked for completely different reasons," Gandhi remarked, hinting at underlying political tensions beyond the immediate energy crisis.
Concerns Over LPG Supply
The remarks come at a time when several states have reported disruptions in the supply chain of cooking gas, leading to long queues at distribution centers and growing public frustration. The government has maintained that there is sufficient stock and that the logistics issues are being addressed through official channels.
However, the Congress leader criticized the administration's handling of the situation, implying that the political pressure from the ground is catching up with the ruling party. "The common man is struggling for basic necessities, and instead of providing solutions, the PM is busy managing optics," Gandhi added, emphasizing that the mismatch between government rhetoric and the ground reality is becoming more apparent.
