CJP Founder Abhijeet Dipke Alleges RSS Link to Jaipur Assault, Vows to Continue NEET Protests.
Five arrested after Dipke slapped during demonstration demanding Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation; next protest planned at Samvidhan Square, Nagpur.
Jaipur/Nagpur, June 16, 2026: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Tuesday alleged that “some people from RSS” were behind the attack on him during a protest in Jaipur a day earlier, claiming the incident aimed to divert attention from student issues.
The Jaipur Incident.
Dipke was allegedly manhandled and slapped multiple times on Monday, June 15, during a CJP protest at Shaheed Smarak in Jaipur. Videos show him being carried on supporters’ shoulders when a group of youths allegedly pulled him by a cloth around his neck, dragged him down, and assaulted him.
Police said five people Rohit Sharma, Rakesh Gurjar, Ajay Sharma, Kuldip Singh and Niket were arrested under Section 170 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita to prevent further offences. Two to six people were initially detained, with police saying identities and motives were still being verified.
The protest drew hundreds of students and youth demanding Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, unemployment, and flaws in the education system. Slogans included “Paper Leak Band Karo” and “Mujhe Desh Se Pyar Hai, Bhrashtachar Asweekar Hai”.
Dipke’s Allegations, Response.
Speaking at Nagpur airport on Tuesday ahead of a planned CJP protest at Samvidhan Square, Dipke said: “We are satyagrahis who follow Gandhi and Ambedkar. We are not scared of their attacks. It has come to my knowledge that the attackers belonged to the RSS. Whenever anyone raises their voice against this government or its ideology, such attacks are launched”.
Responding to claims that he had previously been associated with the RSS and met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dipke said, “Is that why they attacked me yesterday?”
The RSS has not issued a response to the allegations.
A man detained after the Jaipur incident told media he acted because he believed Dipke was “misleading students” and claimed he is “not associated with any political party”. He called himself a “nationalist” and accused Dipke of having a “jihadi mindset”.
Dipke: Protest Will Continue Peacefully.
Dipke said physical attacks were a sign of “fear and cowardice” and vowed the campaign would continue. “No matter how much they raise their hands against us, we will not raise ours. Our movement is peaceful,” he said in a video message.
He urged supporters not to retaliate and reiterated the demand for Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation over alleged irregularities in NEET, CBSE, CUET and SSC exams.
Next Phase of Protests.
The CJP is preparing for its next demonstration at Samvidhan Square in Nagpur on Tuesday, June 16, at 4 pm. Police said elaborate security arrangements have been made in anticipation of a large turnout.
The party had announced a nationwide campaign starting June 6, with similar youth-led protests already held in Delhi, Amritsar, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Lucknow.
