Bollywood icons Madhuri Dixit and Jackie Shroff recently graced the set of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 4, where they shared a flood of cherished memories from their illustrious careers. Among the many revelations, Jackie Shroff candidly admitted to feeling a profound shyness when performing romantic scenes opposite the 'Dhak Dhak' girl, Madhuri Dixit.

During their heartwarming conversation with host Kapil Sharma, Shroff recalled the difficulty of enacting intimacy with the actress. “It is very hard to look into her eyes,” he confessed, highlighting the immense respect and awe he holds for Madhuri. While Shroff praised her elegance and talent, Madhuri, in turn, described him as “innocent” and “down to earth,” painting a picture of a genuine camaraderie that has spanned decades.

Madhuri took a trip down memory lane, recounting her very first encounter with Shroff on the sets of the 1986 film Karma. “I met him for the first time on the sets of Karma. I was doing a small song in the film,” she shared, adding a touch of humor to the memory. “There was Jaggu Dada, Anilji, and both were looking at me from a corner. That time I was quite new, so I was very nervous. I only had a small part in the film, which was the song, and Jaggu Dada and Srideviji see that song and imagine themselves in it.” Her early days in the industry were filled with nerves, a stark contrast to the seasoned superstar she is today.

Jackie Shroff corroborated the sentiment, revealing how he first heard about Madhuri's extraordinary talent. “I heard about her (Madhuri Dixit) for the first time from Saroj Khan,” he stated, acknowledging the legendary choreographer’s keen eye for talent. “She had told Subhash Ghai that Madhuri was a beautiful heroine and an excellent dancer who had come into the industry, and that he should cast her. And I am still awestruck by her.”

The episode offered a delightful glimpse into the personal dynamics and professional journeys of these two beloved stars, reinforcing their enduring legacy in Indian cinema and the mutual respect that continues to bind them.
